Australia avoids recession

The Australian economy has dodged the global recession with data revealing today that the economy achieved positive growth in the first quarter of the year.
Gross domestic product increased by 0.4 per cent, seasonally adjusted, in the first three months of the year, the ABS said, defying expectations for a second consecutive quarterly contraction – the technical definition of a recession.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and RBA governor Glenn Stevens had even conceded Australia had fallen into recession but today’s figures highlight the relative strength of the Australian economy in contrast to international peers.
In the year to March 2009, the Australian economy grew 0.4 per cent. The United States’ economy contracted by 2.5 per cent while Japan’s economy has shrunk by just under 10 per cent.

A very good post, i must say this is really what we are here for, this forum definitely needs posters like you. Filling the forum with some good tips and information, i did follow couple of your posts, they been relevant and good points were elaborated. lol several of the commentary readers put up are a bit spacey, again and again i wonder whether they realistically read the pieces and threads before leaving a comment or whether or not they simply read over the title of the post and generate the initial thought that drifts into their heads. in either case, it really is pleasurable to read clever commentary once in a while instead of the exact same, classic oppinion vomit that i mainly see on the web i’m off to play a smattering of rounds of zynga poker adios

Hi webmaster – This is by far the best looking site I’ve seen. It was completely easy to navigate and it was easy to look for the information I needed. Fantastic layout and great content! Every site should have that. Awesome job

One thing I like about website blogs is that often they provoke an idea in my head. After that happens, I feel as I have to provide feedback wishing it is interesting to some people. Since there are lots of personal blogs with many points of view, they question your understanding. It is at these moments when you have helpful insignt many others might not have had, including the blogger him/herself. I find myself coming back to your blog site mainly because you have some wonderful insights and also you happen to be at this a very long time, which is very inspiring and tells me you know a lot. Keep provoking ideas in other people!
